YOHaD kicks-off activities in Ahoada town for the Global Fund Round 9 (GFR9) HIV prevention project

 

YOHaD is one of the three (3) organizations selected to implement the project in Rivers State amongst out-of-school youths aged 15 – 35 in Ahoada cluster.

YOHaD commenced her intervention for (GFR9) HIV prevention program among out-of-school youths on March 28th, 2011 with activities featuring road show, open air drama, Interpersonal Communication (IPC) and distribution of Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials in Ahoada market and the Primary Health Care centre Ahoada targeting Out-Of-School Youths (aged 15 – 35), pregnant and nursing mothers who fall under the target age group.

 

 
   
 

Prior to the intervention, YOHaD as a sub-sub recipient of the global Fund Round 9 HIV prevention attended a 3 day training in Abuja between 15th and 17th March 2011 at Petrus Hotel by Youth Network on HIV/AIDS (NYNETHA).

Civil society on HIV/AIDs in Nigeria (CiSHAN) is the Principal recipient of the Fund, while Youth Network on HIV/AIDS (NYNETHA) is the sub-recipient.
